Frodo & Sam Pewter Tankard
The two adventurous hobbits Frodo and Sam are immortalised in another tankard. Frodo's refined features are contrasted with his companion's slightly rugged face. Bilbo's cosy hobbit hole, Bag End decorates part of the tankard while another section shows Gandalf riding his rickety horse-drawn cart through Hobbiton. Departing sharply from the idyllic setting, the scene shifts to the desolate Emyn Muil where Frodo is shown levelling his sword to Gollum's throat in a bid to save Sam from being strangled to death. This marks the beginning of a cautious relationship that takes them into the depths of Mordor.
