How does the TolkienTown.com Affiliate Program work?
The Affiliate Program makes it easy for you to get credit for sales that
come through your site. You place special trackable hyperlinks to the
TolkienTown.com site on your Web site. When someone follows those links and
buys any product from TolkienTown, we record it. At the end of the month, if
you have generated a sale and your commission is greater than $20, we will
send you a check. If your commission check is less than $20, we will hold it
until you earn $20.

How are orders tracked and credited to my site?
All links from your site to TolkienTown.com contain your site's unique ID,
so that every time a user comes to us via your links, we know to credit you
when a purchase is made.

Yes, the tag-generated links will track your visitors wherever they go on
our site. You will get commission on everything they buy even if they surf
around on our site for a while.

We will pay your commission on a monthly basis. Approximately 30 days
following the end of each calendar month, we will send you a check, or
credit your store account for the commission earned on the Purchase Amount
for products that were shipped during that month. For example, you will be
paid soon after March 1 for Purchases shipped during January, and you will
be paid on April 1 for Purchases shipped during February, etc...

How can I link to specific product?
To add an afilliate link you need to do the following:
- Log in your affiliate Control Panel.
- Click on the Products Information in the Affiliate Menu.
- Select the product you need the affiliate link to go to.
- Click on the arrow symbol in the end of the line with product link (the
pop-up description will say 'Click to get your HTML affiliate code').
- You'll get a pop-up window with HTML code. (NOTE: Please copy the product
images to your own server when linking directly to a product.)
This affiliate link will lead directly to the product page at
TolkienTown.com.

How can I use the "Jewelry" flash banner on my site?
First you need to download the archive from
http://tolkientown.com/banners/banner_j.zip
onto your local computer.
Then unzip the file, and place the Flash file (banner_j.swf) on your site, on the page, which you use to refer customers to TolkienTown.
You need to modify the code of the banner for it to contain your site's unique ID.
The code is in the code.txt file in the banner_j.zip
You need to insert it into your web page as it is, except the '___YOUR_AFFILIATE_ID___' text, because it will need to be changed to your real affiliates IDs (1, 33, etc) in two lines of the code.
