The magical items of Gandalf the White
Gandalf, member of the White Council and one of the powerful Maia sent to help fight the growing evil of Middle-Earth carries with him magical items to assist him on his quest. Upon arrival into Middle-Earth he was given the elven ring Narya while passing through the Grey Havens, which he keeps secret. Like all wizards he carries a powerful staff which changes when he is transformed from Gandalf the Grey to Gandalf the White. While guiding Bilbo Baggins and a troop of dwarves toward the Lonely Mountain Gandalf discovers the Elven sword Glamdring in a troll cave. Glamdring was originally forged by the Elves from the hidden city of Gondolin for the Goblin Wars of the first age and contains many magical properties.
